Integrity
Jerry does not buy or sell your property. He is an independent, professional appraiser. His opinions are unbiased third-party evaluations of known facts. He will not advocate the cause or interest of any party or issue other than his own work.
Jerry has been recognized as an expert witness in Court.
Experience
Jerry has over 30 years of full time professional valuation experience, the last 19 years specifically devoted to appraisal practice. He has the experience to identify the property and its class.
Education
Jerry received extensive education in appraisal theory, methodology, research, and analysis. This was gained, in part, by successfully completing 120 hours of Personal Property Valuation course required by ASA and successfully completing and passing the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course and examination.
In meeting the requirements as an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers, Jerry demonstrated his eduction by passing the four hour discipline specific written examination, peer review, ethics exam, and investigation of persona and business references.
ASA requires its members to take on going education, and to keep current with a USPAP update course every two calendar years.

Qualifications

Jerry L. Dobesh, ASA has been a professional and independent appraiser of personal property since 2001. He has earned the designation of Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) with a specialty in Antiques and Decorative Arts. Before becoming an appraiser, Jerry was raised in the antiques business, studied fine arts in college, dealt in antiques nationally and internationally for ten years, was employed as an auctioneer, and as an auction house evaluator for seven years.
